With under 700,000 units produced world wide across every variant of the Game Boy Light, you could consider the MGB-101 Gold amongst the rarest of Nintendo handhelds. What makes the Game Boy Light truly special though, is the fully functional OEM electroluminescent backlight, there simply isn't another retro handheld like it, who doesn't want to bask in the glorious green glow of electroluminescence?

This MGB-101 has been meticulously restored throughout and is in perfect working order!

Restoration Process:

Disassembly: Careful removal of power switch, volume wheel, capacitors, link port and plastic components to prevent heat damage from motherboard reflow process.
Motherboard Reflow: Repairs cold or fractured solder joints to fix issues like intermittent operation, power management problems, audio-visual malfunctions, and unresponsive buttons.
Rebuild with Upgraded Components: We rebuild the console from scratch, adding a 2w speaker, Panasonic capacitors, new volume wheel and new contrast wheel.
