Choosing Screens, Shells & USB-C Charging Mods

A successful upgrade starts with compatible components. Check the display’s mounting requirements, the shell’s supported screen kits and whether a replacement lens or other fittings are needed. A housing designed for one laminated display is not automatically suitable for another.

USB-C charging boards also vary in their battery requirements and power functions. Check whether the battery is included, whether the board supports your chosen display and which additional components are needed. A shell with a USB-C opening does not include a charging system unless the listing states this.

Installation Requirements & Replacement Parts

Installation varies from transferring a donor motherboard into a prepared conversion kit to soldering small internal components. Selected kits offer solder-free installation, while other screen, charging and repair upgrades require soldering, shell modification or additional tools.
