Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains how Retrolize Ltd uses personal information when you visit Retrolize.co.uk, buy products, book services, submit reviews or contact us.
WHO WE ARE
Retrolize Ltd is the controller responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. Company number: 14829662. Registered office: 49 Downbank Avenue, Bexleyheath, DA7 6RT, United Kingdom.
For privacy enquiries or requests, email support@retrolize.co.uk or write to the address above.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect contact, account, billing and delivery details; order and payment information; returns, warranty and repair records; and information you provide in messages, reviews, photos or videos. International orders require a telephone number for delivery and customs purposes.
We also receive information from Shopify, payment and delivery providers, and from your use of our website, including IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, shopping activity and privacy preferences.
Payment providers process your payment-card details. We receive transaction information needed to manage your order. If you do not provide information necessary for payment, delivery or an agreed service, we may be unable to fulfil your order.
HOW & WHY WE USE INFORMATION
To fulfil our contract with you: processing payments and orders, arranging delivery, providing booked services, managing your account and handling contractual returns and warranty claims.
To meet legal obligations: keeping required financial records, meeting tax and customs requirements, fulfilling statutory consumer obligations and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
For legitimate interests: answering enquiries, preventing fraud, securing our systems, improving our services, administering genuine product reviews and handling disputes. We consider your privacy rights when relying on these interests. This basis also covers marketing to existing customers where the rules below permit it.
With your consent: sending marketing and using optional tracking where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
MARKETING PREFERENCES
We send marketing emails with your consent, or where permitted about our own similar products or services following a purchase or purchase enquiry, provided you were offered an opt-out when your details were collected and in each message.
Use the unsubscribe link or contact us to stop marketing. Essential order, payment, delivery and service messages will continue where needed.
COOKIES & ONLINE ADVERTISING
Essential cookies support functions such as your basket, checkout, sign-in, security and privacy choices. Analytics and advertising technologies, including Google services, help us understand website use, measure advertising and show relevant adverts.
Where consent is required, optional tracking is used only with your consent. Manage your choices through the website’s cookie banner or privacy controls. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, although this may affect store functions.
Cookies may expire when your browser closes or remain for a period set by the provider. See Shopify’s cookie information and durations and Google’s privacy information.
You can ask us to stop using your information for targeted advertising by contacting us. Shopify’s separate privacy controls are linked below.
PRODUCT REVIEWS
We use relevant order details, your first name, email address and purchased product information to invite and verify reviews. Invitations follow applicable marketing preferences.
Your displayed name, rating, review text and any photos you choose to submit may appear publicly alongside the product. We do not publish your email address, delivery address or order reference. Contact us to stop review invitations or request removal of personal information or photos from a review.
REPAIRS & DEVICE INFORMATION
Repair records may include device identifiers, reported faults, diagnostic findings, work completed and supporting photos or videos. Access to information stored on a device is limited to what is necessary for the agreed diagnosis or repair. Please back up your data and remove unrelated personal information where possible before sending a device.
WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We share relevant information with Shopify; payment providers; delivery and customs services; email and messaging providers; website, review-app, hosting and IT providers; analytics and advertising providers, including Google; and professional advisers. Access and use depend on each provider’s role.
Payment providers may carry out their own fraud or credit checks under their privacy notices. Contact us if you believe a check has wrongly affected your order.
We may also disclose information where legally required, to establish or defend legal claims, or in connection with a business sale or transfer, subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell customer mailing lists.
SHOPIFY
Shopify hosts our store and processes information to provide the storefront, checkout and related services. Shopify also processes information in its own right for services such as Shop and Shop Pay.
Where Shopify’s enhanced services are enabled, it may combine information about your activity here with interactions with other merchants and Shopify services for personalisation, analytics and advertising, subject to applicable privacy choices.
Read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and use the Shopify Privacy Portal to exercise rights or manage Shopify’s separate privacy choices.
INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in the EEA, United States and Canada. Where transfer safeguards are required, we use recognised adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual protections, including approved standard clauses with the relevant UK provisions. Contact us for details or copies of applicable safeguards.
HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We normally retain financial and transaction records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, or longer where legally required.
Account, support, repair and warranty records are retained while needed to provide services, manage claims or resolve disputes. Reviews remain while published; related verification records are retained only as needed for authenticity, moderation or claims.
Marketing details are kept while we have a valid basis to contact you. After you unsubscribe, we may keep a minimal suppression record to respect your choice. Other information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, with backup copies removed through the applicable retention cycle.
YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You may also have rights to human review of decisions made solely by automated means that significantly affect you.
You can object to direct marketing, including related profiling, at any time.
Contact support@retrolize.co.uk to exercise your rights. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one calendar month and will explain any lawful extension. Some information must be retained for legal obligations or claims.
SECURITY
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards and restrict access to people and providers who need information for their work. Please do not send full payment-card details or account passwords by email or WhatsApp.
COMPLAINTS & POLICY UPDATES
Send privacy complaints to support@retrolize.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days and investigate and respond without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, or another relevant supervisory authority where applicable.
We update this policy when our practices or requirements change. The latest version is published here with its revision date, and significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
