Anbernic RG28XX – Best Pocket-Sized Handheld

The Anbernic RG28XX is the smallest and lightest handheld in the range. Its compact horizontal design, 2.83-inch IPS screen and traditional digital controls make it particularly well suited to Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, NES, Super Nintendo, Mega Drive and PlayStation 1 games.

It does not include analogue sticks, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, making it the simplest and most portable option.

Anbernic RG35XX Pro – Best Compact Vertical Handheld

The Anbernic RG35XX Pro combines a traditional vertical handheld design with a 3.5-inch IPS screen and dual analogue sticks.

Anbernic RG34XX SP – Best Clamshell Handheld

The Anbernic RG34XX SP uses a compact folding design inspired by classic clamshell handheld consoles.

Its 3.4-inch 720 × 480 IPS screen, dual analogue sticks and portable form factor make it particularly well suited to Game Boy Advance software while still supporting a much broader selection of retro systems.
