NES To HDMI With RetroScaler2x

The RetroScaler2x AV To HDMI Converter & Line Doubler connects a compatible composite-output NES to an HDMI display. On a front-loading console with RCA AV sockets, use the video and audio connections with a suitable composite AV cable.

It line-doubles supported 240p signals to 480p and 288p signals to 576p, providing progressive HDMI output for a compatible television or monitor. Your display handles any further scaling to its screen resolution. The original composite signal still determines the available picture detail.

For a PAL NES setup, check that your display accepts the resulting 576p/50Hz output. The RetroScaler2x preserves the source refresh rate rather than converting PAL games to 60Hz.

A compatible console AV cable, HDMI cable and regulated 5V USB power source rated at 0.5A or higher are required. The Micro USB power cable is included; the console AV cable, HDMI cable and USB mains adapter are supplied separately.

GBS-Control Pro For Compatible NTSC NES Consoles

The RetroScaler GBS-Control Pro Upscaler offers composite input, adjustable picture controls and selectable HDMI output resolutions up to 1080p. Its additional analogue inputs also make it useful for a setup shared with other compatible retro consoles.

For NES use, this option is intended for compatible NTSC systems with composite AV output. RetroScaler’s published NES compatibility list specifies NTSC-U and NTSC-J and excludes PAL NES. For a PAL NES, use the RetroScaler2x connection route described above.

The GBSC Pro package includes a UK power supply and remote control. A suitable console AV cable and HDMI cable are required separately. The unit also provides a separate 3.5mm audio output, so check the product’s audio connection information when planning your setup.

8BitDo N30 Wireless Controller For Original NES

Enjoy wireless play with the 8BitDo N30 2.4G Wireless Controller And Receiver. Its familiar NES-style layout combines a directional pad, A and B buttons, Start and Select with dedicated turbo controls and a rechargeable battery.

The included receiver plugs into an original NES-style controller port, providing plug and play with no console modification required. The controller communicates through its dedicated 2.4GHz connection and matching receiver; Bluetooth pairing is not supported.

For two-player wireless gaming, each player needs their own controller and receiver. One receiver connects to each controller port.

Supported original hardware includes the NES and Famicom HVC-101, also known as the AV Famicom. The original HVC-001 Famicom uses a different controller arrangement and does not accept the supplied receiver directly. The NES Classic Mini also requires a different receiver connection.

Choose Accessories For Your Exact Console

Check your console’s model, region and available connections before ordering. A compatible controller port does not establish video-converter compatibility, and different NES and Famicom models can require different cables.

Neither converter accepts an RF aerial connection directly. RF-only consoles, including an unmodified NES-101 top loader or original HVC-001 Famicom, need suitable additional conversion hardware or an AV-output modification before using these converters. The AV Famicom HVC-101 provides composite output through its AV connection when used with the correct cable.
