The Nintendo Game Boy DMG-01 is the original full-size Game Boy, with its distinctive vertical design, directional pad and A and B button layout. It remains compatible with original Nintendo Game Boy cartridges while retaining the size and controls associated with the original handheld.

Our restored and upgraded Game Boy DMG-01 consoles combine original Nintendo hardware with modern components. Upgrades can include a bright IPS display with on-screen controls, a rechargeable 3000mAh USB-C battery, replacement shells and new silicone control membranes.

Every Retrolize Game Boy DMG-01 is completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected before being rebuilt. The original motherboard is reflowed and recapped with premium Panasonic capacitors to improve long-term reliability, while worn controls and external components are replaced where required.

Each product listing explains the exact restoration work, fitted upgrades, colour scheme and cosmetic condition of the individual console. Every completed system is fully tested before dispatch from our UK workshop.
