The Nintendo Game Boy Color combines the compact vertical design of the original Game Boy range with a full-colour display. It supports Game Boy Color cartridges and compatible original Game Boy games, providing access to both generations of Nintendo handheld software.

Our restored and upgraded Game Boy Color consoles are available with modern IPS or OLED/AMOLED displays, depending on the individual build. Other upgrades can include rechargeable 1800mAh batteries, improved audio, replacement shells and new controls. Selected original and limited-edition consoles are also offered when suitable hardware becomes available.

Professionally Restored & Tested In The UK

Every Retrolize Game Boy Color is completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected before being rebuilt. Restoration work can include motherboard reflowing, premium Panasonic capacitors, upgraded speakers and replacement controls, helping address age-related wear while retaining original Nintendo hardware at the console’s core.

Each product listing explains the fitted display, battery, restoration work, colour scheme and cosmetic condition of that individual console. Every completed system is fully tested before dispatch from our UK workshop.

All restored and upgraded Game Boy Color consoles are supplied from UK stock and covered by a 12-month Retrolize warranty from the date of delivery.
