The Anbernic RG28XX 32GB is a compact ready-to-play retro gaming handheld designed for pocket-friendly emulation, travelling and everyday portable gaming. Measuring just 12.5cm wide and weighing approximately 125g, it is one of Anbernic’s smallest Linux handheld consoles and is easy to carry without the bulk of a larger gaming device.

Its 2.83-inch IPS display uses OCA full lamination and a sharp 640 × 480 resolution, producing clear retro visuals with wide viewing angles. The traditional 4:3 display is well suited to classic systems including NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Master System, Mega Drive, Game Gear, PlayStation 1, Neo Geo, PC Engine, WonderSwan, MAME and Final Burn Alpha.

Powered by the Allwinner H700 quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, dual-core Mali-G31 MP2 graphics, 1GB RAM and a 64-bit Linux operating system, the RG28XX delivers responsive navigation and dependable performance across a wide range of classic emulators. Selected PSP, Dreamcast and more demanding arcade games may also run, although results vary by title and settings.

This upgraded Retrolize model includes a genuine 32GB SanDisk microSD card for improved storage reliability. Dual TF card slots support expansion up to 512GB, giving you additional room for supported games, save files and system data.

Despite its small size, the Anbernic RG28XX includes Micro HDMI television output, vibration feedback, a high-fidelity speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Compatible wired and 2.4GHz wireless controllers can also be connected using a suitable USB-C OTG adapter or receiver.

The built-in 3100mAh rechargeable battery provides up to eight hours of playtime depending on brightness, volume and the system being emulated. The RG28XX is a Linux-based retro gaming handheld. It does not run Android apps or Android games.

The console does not include built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Compatible wired and 2.4GHz wireless controllers require a suitable USB-C OTG adapter or receiver.

The RG28XX does not have analogue sticks. Some games originally designed around analogue controls may be less suitable for this handheld.

Performance on more demanding systems such as PSP, Dreamcast and certain arcade platforms varies by game, emulator, firmware and settings. Not every title will run perfectly.

The console includes a genuine 32GB SanDisk microSD card. Dual microSD card slots support expansion up to 512GB.

Micro HDMI output requires a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable, which is not included unless specifically stated.

The 3100mAh battery provides up to eight hours of playtime. Actual battery life varies according to screen brightness, volume, vibration and the system being emulated.

Use a compatible 5V/2A charger and USB-A to USB-C cable. Avoid high-voltage USB-C fast chargers.

User-made firmware changes, altered system files or corrupted microSD cards may affect operation. Create a backup of the supplied card before making software changes

Retrolize Anbernic Warranty

All Anbernic handheld consoles purchased from Retrolize are covered by a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and hardware faults under normal use.

Each console includes a unique 7-digit warranty code, which must be present on the device for any warranty claim to be accepted. If the warranty code is missing, altered, or unreadable, we will be unable to provide warranty support.

If your console develops a genuine hardware fault during the warranty period, we will inspect the device and, where appropriate, repair it, replace it, or offer an alternative solution at our discretion.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, cracked screens, misuse, normal cosmetic wear, battery performance changes over time, charging issues caused by unsuitable cables or chargers (1.5a 5v USBA to USBC ONLY), or problems resulting from user-made software or system changes.

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with your order number and a clear description of the fault. Photos or video are always helpful and may speed up the process.
