The Anbernic RG40XX H 64GB is a ready-to-play retro gaming handheld built for classic console emulation, portable gaming and comfortable horizontal play. Its 4-inch IPS display uses a sharp 640×480 resolution and traditional 4:3 aspect ratio, making it particularly well suited to systems such as NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Mega Drive, PlayStation 1, Neo Geo and arcade platforms.

Powered by the Allwinner H700 quad-core processor, dual-core G31 MP2 graphics, 1GB RAM and a lightweight Linux operating system, the RG40XX H delivers responsive navigation and dependable performance across a wide range of supported retro systems. Dreamcast, PSP and more demanding arcade titles are also supported, although performance varies by game, emulator and settings.

The horizontal design combines a responsive D-pad with dual analogue sticks, shoulder buttons, RGB joystick lighting and built-in vibration. This makes the Anbernic RG40XX H suitable for traditional 2D games as well as compatible 3D titles, racers, arcade games and PlayStation-era releases.

Higher-end systems such as PSP, Dreamcast and some arcade games will vary by game, emulator, firmware and settings. Not every title will run perfectly.

The RG40XX H is a Linux-based handheld, not an Android console. It is designed for retro emulation and does not run Android apps or Android games.

The console includes 64GB microSD storage. Dual microSD / TF card slots support expansion up to 512GB.

Mini HDMI output supports up to 720p. Mini HDMI cable is not included unless stated.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, streaming, controller support and online pairing depend on compatible firmware, software and accessories.

Battery life is rated up to 8 hours, but this depends on screen brightness, volume, Wi-Fi use, emulator, system and game being played.

Use a suitable charger and cable. We recommend using 5V 1.5A USB-A to USB-C charging only.

User-made software changes, firmware changes, corrupted SD cards or altered system files may affect console operation. We recommend making a backup of the supplied card before making changes.

Retrolize Anbernic Warranty

All Anbernic handheld consoles purchased from Retrolize are covered by a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and hardware faults under normal use.

Each console includes a unique 7-digit warranty code, which must be present on the device for any warranty claim to be accepted. If the warranty code is missing, altered, or unreadable, we will be unable to provide warranty support.

If your console develops a genuine hardware fault during the warranty period, we will inspect the device and, where appropriate, repair it, replace it, or offer an alternative solution at our discretion.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, cracked screens, misuse, normal cosmetic wear, battery performance changes over time, charging issues caused by unsuitable cables or chargers (1.5a 5v USBA to USBC ONLY), or problems resulting from user-made software or system changes.

To make a warranty claim, please contact us with your order number and a clear description of the fault. Photos or video are always helpful and may speed up the process.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights and applies only to products purchased directly from Retrolize or one of our official partners. Your separate 14-day returns policy still applies to eligible purchases made through the store.
