Nintendo 64 Replacement Power Supply PSU – 230V UK

The Nintendo 64 Replacement Power Supply provides a direct-fit replacement for an ageing, faulty or missing original N64 power brick. It is useful for second-hand consoles supplied without their original PSU, or for replacing an original Nintendo NUS-002 power supply that has become unreliable or developed an intermittent fault.

This aftermarket N64 power adapter connects directly to the console’s proprietary rear power connection and is supplied with a fitted UK three-pin mains plug. Its NUS-002-style housing retains the familiar external power-brick arrangement, with no separate adapter board or change to the Nintendo 64 motherboard required.

It supplies the separate 3.3V and 12V DC rails required by original Nintendo 64 hardware. The 3.3V output is rated at up to 2.7A, while the 12V output is rated at up to 0.8A, providing both console-side voltages through the original rear power connection.

Designed for 230V AC, 50Hz mains power, this replacement PSU supports PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J Nintendo 64 consoles when connected to suitable UK mains.

For UK owners of imported Japanese or North American Nintendo 64 consoles, it replaces the original 100–120V mains power supply entirely. Changing the power supply does not convert the console between PAL and NTSC, change its video output or alter cartridge and software compatibility. The console retains its existing region and video standard; the replacement simply supplies the power required by the original hardware.

Installation is completely external and plug and play. With the console switched off and its existing PSU disconnected from the mains, remove the old power supply if fitted and insert the replacement into the rear power connection. First-Time Setup

1. Switch the Nintendo 64 off and disconnect its existing power supply from the mains, if fitted.
2. Remove the existing PSU from the rear of the console.
3. Insert the replacement PSU fully into the console’s rear power connection.
4. Connect the fitted UK plug to a suitable 230V mains socket.
5. Connect the console to your display as normal, then switch it on.
6. Always switch the console off and unplug the PSU before removing or replacing it.

The warranty excludes accidental or liquid damage, damaged connectors, crushed or cut cabling, excessive pulling, unauthorised modification and damage caused by unsuitable mains voltage or incompatible equipment. Faults within the console or other connected accessories are not faults with the replacement PSU.

Can I Use This With A Japanese Or North American Nintendo 64 In The UK?

Yes. This replacement PSU supports NTSC-J and NTSC-U Nintendo 64 consoles when connected to suitable UK 230V mains. It replaces the console’s original imported power supply, so a separate step-down transformer is not required.

Is This An Original Nintendo NUS-002 Power Supply?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement with a NUS-002-style direct-fit housing. It is not manufactured by Nintendo.

Replacement PSU Or USB-C Power Supply?

Do I Need A Separate Charger Or Power Cable?

No. This PSU includes its own mains cable and fitted UK three-pin plug. It connects directly to the Nintendo 64, so no separate USB-C charger, USB cable or original Nintendo power supply is required.

Can I Use This Power Supply Outside The UK?

Only where the mains supply matches its 230V AC, 50Hz rating and a suitable connection for the fitted UK plug is available. A travel plug adapter does not convert voltage or frequency, so it must not be used to connect this PSU directly to 100–120V mains.

Will This Fix A Nintendo 64 That Won’t Power On?

It can help if the existing power supply is faulty. Power-on problems can also be caused by faults inside the console, so replacing the PSU does not guarantee a repair.
