The Game Boy DMG USB-C Charging Kit PRO upgrades the original Game Boy with USB-C charging, Li-ion battery support, a 5V power converter and integrated audio amplifier in one clean mod board.

Designed for IPS screen builds, flash carts and modern Game Boy DMG upgrades, it provides stable power, battery protection, safe charge-and-play and speaker amplification without stacking multiple separate mods.

Includes the main board, USB-C board, light board, connection cables, USB-C holder, header pins and light diffuser pipe. Li-ion battery, speaker, tools and installation supplies are not included.

This PRO kit supports safe charge-and-play when installed correctly with a suitable Li-ion battery.

Designed for IPS screen builds that only require the 5V rail. The original Game Boy DMG screen is not compatible because it requires the -19V rail.

This kit includes USB-C charging, Li-ion battery support, 5V power conversion and audio amplification. It is not intended for stock-screen DMG builds.

Replacement speaker, screwdrivers, cutting tools, soldering iron, solder, flux, tweezers and isopropyl alcohol are not included.

Description

This compact circuit combines USB-C charging, Li-ion battery charging, a 5V boost converter and an integrated speaker audio amplifier into one clean installation.

Modern Game Boy DMG upgrades such as IPS backlit screens and flash carts can draw more power than the original hardware was designed for. The USB-C Charging Mod PRO helps solve that by replacing the old power conversion setup with a stable 5V output for the Game Boy, IPS screen and flash cart, while also adding protected Li-ion battery charging and safe charge-and-play support.

The built-in audio amplifier boosts both audio channels for stronger speaker output, making it a useful upgrade for restored and modified Game Boy DMG consoles. Designed for original Game Boy DMG consoles using IPS screen upgrades or compatible modern display kits.

Because the kit installs with wires rather than directly onto the motherboard, it should be compatible with Game Boy DMG motherboard revisions and some custom DMG boards, provided the build uses a compatible IPS screen and correct wiring.
